5 horses still at property where neglected and dead animals were found
Onondaga (WSYR-TV) – The owner of a property where seven dead horses were found along with numerous others that were emaciated has yet to be identified while the SPCA looks into whether to file charges.
The SPCA said 14 horses they found alive were in poor condition on a piece of land located on Bailer Road in the town of Onondaga.
Five horses remain on the property owned by the Onondaga Nation. The horses will be fed each day, according to the SPCA.
Investigators said the horses have gone weeks without eating.
Nine horses were removed from the property on Monday night.
SPCA investigators say they will return on Thursday.
