Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A Syracuse mother and father are searching for answers about their son on the fifth anniversary of his disappearance.

They believe Larry Stackhouse Jr. met with foul play, but they're not giving up hope.

It's been five long years, but for Lorraine and Larry Stackhouse Sr., the passage of time has not eased the pain.

"It makes it worse...that's the worst, not knowing," Lorraine Stackhouse said.

"There's not one day that goes by that I don't think about the chain of events that have happened, and we miss him deeply," Larry Stackhouse said.

On December 2, 2005, Larry Jr. and his friends went to a basketball game at Christian Brothers Academy. The 19-year-old didn't return home that night, or the next day, or the next - behavior that his parents say was totally out of character. The parents searched frantically.

The Stackhouses say they have received information over the years linking their son's disappearance to the Onondaga Nation. They say he was last seen on Smith Road.

Still, the family is pleading for more answers. "I just wish we knew what happened to him, or where he's at," Lorraine Stackhouse said.

"I'd just like to say if there is anyone out there who knows what happened to our son, please come forward and tell police, or tell a neighbor or friend," Larry Sr. said.

Syracuse Police are still investigating the case, and Larry Sr. says he speaks with investigators on a regular basis, but still, there is no sign of his son.
