76-year-old man hit while walking along State Route 26

Georgetown (WSYR-TV) -- Officials in Madison County are looking for the driver who hit a 76-year-old man who was walking along State Route 26 Wednesday night.

Officials say the man was hit between East Hill Road and Bronder Hollow Road in Georgetown at around 7:30 p.m.

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to Upstate Hospital with what officials are calling non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle has been described as a smaller car, dark in color. The vehicle is missing the passenger side mirror as a result of the accident.

Anyone who may have been in the area or sees a vehicle matching this description is asked to call Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies at (315) 366-2311.
