Dryden (WSYR-TV) – A 94-year-old woman is dead after a crash in the Tompkins County town of Dryden.

State Police say Myra Moran died from injures after being taken to Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca.

The crash happened around 1:20 p.m. Monday on State Route 79.

Police say the initial investigation shows a Chevrolet Equinox was traveling westbound when it drove into the eastbound lane and struck a Chrysler minivan. Moran was a passenger in that minivan.

Police say the minivan was being driven by 59-year-old Laraine Ericson of Newfield and her son was also a passenger. They were transported to Robert Packer Hospital for a complaint of pain in the abdomen and a fractured wrist.

Police say the driver of the Chevrolet Equinox was transported to Cayuga Medical Center for cuts on his legs and hips.  One passenger of the Equinox was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for back pain and the other was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital for complaint of tailbone pain and a cut on his torso.

The investigation into the accident is continuing.
