I've spent quite a bit of time looking at things this evening, and while there are Winter Storm Watches posted for the counties to our east from late Friday into Sunday, I'm having a tough time seeing any significant winter weather making it that far north. The new data in tonight shows some heavier snow possible in eastern PA and SE NY. It'll be a close call for sure, and it'll be interesting to see how all this unfolds Friday. The kicker is that the storm in question for later in the weekend, hasn't even formed yet! I truly think this is a precursor to our winter with big storms firing up along the coast, but misses for us. -Dave

The "high" temperature(That's a joke!)today was 41 degrees. There has been only twice since records have been kept in Central New York that the so called high temperature has been colder that today-39 in 1965 and 40 on 10/3/74. That made todays temperature the coldest maximum temperature in Central New York in 35 years and nearly 50 degrees colder than what I experienced when I was in Hawaii last month. I truly believe that Central New York has the worst weather in all the U.S!!!

Can't wait to see what you guys say about the storm tonight and tomorrow. I see most of Central NY is under a Winter Storm Watch..! Part of me wants to see a historic event unfold...

what a differnce a month makes! I'm always love weather extremes, so I hope we get a foot of snow. However, I just bought a new house, so I would not want any dammage to my trees or house. So how about 60 and sunny please???
