ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - An official says President Obama will visit a high-tech plant in Saratoga County on Tuesday and will speak on economic issues.

The official familiar with details of the trip says Obama will tour the Global Foundries facility in Malta, 15 miles north of Albany.

The $4.6 billion facility manufactures computer chips and will ultimately employ about 1,400 people.

The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the trip hadn't yet been announced.
