Fulton (WSYR-TV) - Police in Fulton have filed additional charges against one of the women who led authorities on a high speed chase through portions of Oswego, Cayuga, and Wayne counties Wednesday evening.
Javonnia Rouse, 30, of Rochester, is now facing charges of reckless driving, failure to comply, along with other traffic related offenses.
Rouse and Shytrece Banks, 30, also of Rochester, are already charged with grand larceny, for allegedly stealing from the Super Wal-Mart in Granby Thursday afternoon. Police chased the pair, with speeds in excess of 90 miles an hour. Both women are behind bars at the Oswego County Justice Center.
Fulton (WSYR-TV) – Police arrested two Rochester women following a high-speed three-county chase Wednesday night.
Fulton police say two women, 30-year-old Javonnia Rouse and 30-year-old Shytrece Banks, had reportedly stolen some merchandise from the Super Walmart in Granby shortly after 6:30pm Wednesday.
They were seen leaving the store in a white Ford Explorer. When Fulton police tried to pull the truck over, the women then led officers on a high-speed chase along Route 3 through Oswego, Cayuga and Wayne counties.
Speeds at times reached over 90 miles per hour. Fulton police were aided in the pursuit by four other agencies, including state police.
Police eventually stopped the SUV in Red Creek in Wayne County, and took Rouse and Banks into custody.
Both face charges of grand larceny, and police say they expect to file several additional traffic and criminal charges against them.
Rouse and Banks were arraigned in the Town of Granby court and sent to the Oswego County Correctional Facility. Rouse is being held on $2,500 bail, while Banks is being held without bail.
