Clarence Center (WSYR-TV) – Western New Yorkers are marking a somber anniversary Tuesday, four years after nearly 50 people were killed when Flight 3407 crashed in a Buffalo suburb.

The plane that plummeted into a house in Clarence Center on Feb. 12 was preparing to land.

All 49 people on board the plane were killed, along with one person on the ground.

Pilot error and fatigue were blamed for the crash.

The families of the victims are in Washington, DC, on the anniversary of the incident in an effort push the FAA to increase safety measures.
