Argument over money leads to stabbing in Syracuse

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- An argument over money escalated into a stabbing in the 800 block of South Geddes Street in Syracuse Thursday afternoon.

Police say 18-year-old Jonalis Pizarro stabbed 26-year-old Carmen Ramos in the abdomen with a black folding knife.

Ramos was transported to Upstate University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police found Pizarro a short time later at her home.

Pizarro has since been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
