Cicero (WSYR-TV) -- Deputies in Onondaga County have arrested a man they say stabbed 22-year-old Michael Jennings during a disturbance at Lu Lu’s Bar and Grill on Brewerton Road in Cicero last month.
Three other people were injured during the incident, including Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler's son.
Jennings was stabbed multiple times and was rushed to Upstate University Hospital where he underwent surgery, according to officials. He spent several days in recovery.
Deputies charged 28-year-old James E. Smith, who was identified by witnesses as the person who stabbed Jennings, on Thursday.
Three others -- 20-year-old Jauqwell Flagg, 21-year-old Frank L. Fowler and 21-year-old Shabria O. Scott -- were stabbed during the incident, however officials say it remains unclear who is responsible for those attacks.
All three were treated at local hospitals for minor injuries and were released.
Smith has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon and is scheduled to return to court on November 5.
