Albany (WSYR-TV) – A suspect has been arrested in the case of abused pit bull puppies abandoned near train tracks in Albany, according to a report.

WTEN reports that the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society was told by the District Attorney that an arrest was made in the case.

In September, three puppies were found by railroad workers. Two of the puppies, named Hudson and Pearl, were adopted in December. A third died from its injuries.

Hudson had to be given a prosthetic paw.
