Asbestos removal to begin at Liverpool Elementary
Liverpool (WSYR-TV) -- Now that students are off on holiday break, contractors will begin to remove asbestos from Liverpool Elementary.
The school district says asbestos was found in some flooring tile, mastic and pipe insulation.
The school is closed until January 2, which should give workers enough time to complete the work.
Asbestos was also removed from the school over last year’s holiday break.
Air quality test results should be in by the end of the year.
