Auburn (WSYR-TV) - Some workers at McQuay International in Auburn will hold onto their jobs for a while longer.
The company announced on Thursday that it will keep the Auburn plant open through 2015.
It was originally slated to close one year earlier
- but because of the change in plans - more than 50 workers will not be laid off by the end of this year.
The operations will still be moving to another company-owned facility in Tennessee.
McQuay says they will work with the union to negotiate changes to the plant closing agreement.
