Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Weedsport infant born with a painful and unusual skin condition has suffered another setback.

Baby Easton suffers from Epidermolysis Bullosa. Children who suffer from it are often called “Butterfly babies,” as the condition leaves their skin as fragile as the tissue of a butterfly's wings.

The Central New York community rallied around the child from Weedsport and raised tens of thousands of dollars to help him.

Now, he has been diagnosed with MRSA – a contagious staph bacteria that can potentially be dangerous, according to a post on the family’s Facebook page.

Easton was prescribed an antibiotic and is being monitored closely.
