Manlius (WSYR-TV) – A man who police say followed a woman home from a DeWitt Wegmans location and then rubbed up against her while she was unloading groceries is still free and will not have his bail revoked.
In March, Manlius Police charged Gregory Gottfried, 22, with felony sexual abuse and misdemeanor forcible touching. At the time, they said Gottfried lived in Minoa.
On Tuesday, the District Attorney’s office and a lawyer representing Gottfried – Ed Menkin – argued over whether or not he should be permitted bail.
An Assistant District Attorney said his bail should be revoked. The ADA said Gottfried lied to the authorities, telling them he lived in Onondaga County. They say Gottfriend lives in Rockland County.
Menkin said that Gottfried is in constant contact with him and will make all of his court appearances.
