NORTH SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - A kickball tournament was held in North Syracuse to benefit 8-year-old Aidan Pike, whose grandfather and mother recently passed away.

More than 300 people played in the tournament to help raise money for a trust fund for Aidan.

“That's what I set out to
do and all the volunteers set out to do today. To give him [Aidan] a day, in this dark time and heartache that he's going through, that he'll hopefully remember that he had a bunch of people that cared about him today,” said Aidan’s little league coach Brian Zicaro.

Aidan’s mother Tracey was a local pharmacist that graduated from C-NS in 1987.

Donations to Aidan Pike's trust fund can still be made at Empower Federal Credit Union.
