Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Traveling to Atlanta to watch The Orange take on Michigan in The Final Four? Your best options are to drive yourself or book a flight.
As of Sunday night, a round trip, non-stop flight to Atlanta, that leaves Friday and returns on Sunday, will cost you $420.
If you want to return Tuesday after the National Championship game, the round-trip price drops to $371, but it's a bit tougher to find those non-stop flights.
Driving straight there will take you 14 hours and 20 minutes. You can make it a bit easier on yourself by stopping for the night, halfway, in Virginia.
You'll be driving a total of 964 miles. If you get 30 miles to the gallon, you'll spend about $120 on gas each way.
One thing local businesses hope you won't forget to pack is your Final Four gear.
“Our racks are getting a little bare right now but we've got another shipment coming in any minute,” said Manny’s manager Bill Nester.
“People get excited this week about Final Four t-shirts, but really a rising tide lifts all boats. Anything orange this week is going to be a hot seller,” said Holy Shirts owner John Groat.
Stores started cranking out shirts before they even knew who SU would play next Saturday. They wanted to make sure their shelves were stocked in time for families to stuff their Easter baskets.
