It happened just before 11 Saturday night at the intersection of Burnet Avenue and Lodi Street.
Authorities say a Syracuse police officer was stopped at a red light on Lodi Street, when 37-year-old John Lacey, who was heading eastbound on Burnet Avenue on his bicycle, hit the front bumper of the cruiser.
Lacey was taken to Upstate Hospital after complaining of leg pain.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
