Verona (WSYR-TV) – An Oneida County man who was reported missing is in custody in North Carolina after being picked up by a bounty hunter, Sheriff’s Deputies say.

23-year-old Jonathan Hopkins was reported missing by his family after he disappeared some time after 2:30 on Wednesday afternoon.

He had last been seen at a residence on Senn Road in the town of Verona.

The Sheriff’s Office issued a press release imploring the public’s help in finding the man early Thursday morning.

The Sheriff’s Office discovered later on Thursday that Hopkins was in custody in Concord, NC.

The Sheriff’s Office did not know what charges Hopkins is facing in North Carolina.
