Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- There’s a new member of the 10th Mountain Division, and though he’s young, he’s already a Sergeant.
On Tuesday, Fort Drum soldiers recognized 7-year-old Julien Ross as an honorary member of the Mountain Division. Ross has been battling cancer for more than a year now, but is fascinated with all things military.
Soldiers and Senator Pattie Ritchie made sure Ross had everything a soldier needs to do their job.
10th Mountain Division Sergeant Brad Johnson presented Julien with his very own, personalized Sergeant hat.
Ross was also honored by the 10th Mountain Division for his outstanding bravery when faced with challenges.
