Syracuse (WSYR-TV/CNN) – The show “Breaking Bad” is in its fifth and final season, but fans haven’t seen the last of at least one favorite character.
Bob Odenkirk, better known as “Saul Goodman” to “Breaking Bad” devotees, will reprise his role as the sleazy lawyer in an upcoming spinoff series.
AMC and SONY pictures television say the long-rumored new comedy series, tentatively called “Better Call Saul,” is planned to be a one-hour prequel that will focus on the evolution of Saul Goodman.
The character is a criminal lawyer who often goes outside the law to help less-than-reputable clients, which included “Breaking Bad’s” main character, Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher turned meth manufacturer.
Additional casting details and the timing of the series have not been released.
