Syracuse (WSYR-TV) A Syracuse man is set to be arraigned Sunday, after police say he tried stealing a cash register from the B&B Lounge on South Avenue. Investigators say Demetrius Archie, 23, entered the lounge around 7pm on Saturday and went behind the bar where he pulled the cash register from the wall.

Meantime, employees ran outside and called to police officers who were nearby for a separate investigation. Archie was taken into custody after a short struggle.

He’s being kept at the Justice Center. Archie faces charges of criminal mischief in the second degree, burglary in the third degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree and resisting arrest.
