Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – According to a new poll on Monday, more Americans would hold Republicans in the House of Representatives responsible for a government shutdown, rather than President Obama.
The survey, conducted by CNN/ORC International
, indicated that 46 percent said they would blame congressional Republicans, while 36 percent said the president would be responsible.
13 percent of those surveyed said both would be equally culpable.
Six in 10 said they want Congress to approve a budget to avoid a shutdown.
The House passed a bill overnight that would fund the government, but would delay the Affordable Care Act’s implementation for one year and also repeal its tax on medical devices.
