SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - For the first time, the CNY Veterans Parade was held at the State Fairgrounds on Saturday. It previously marched through downtown Syracuse.
Regardless of the change of venue, Vietnam veteran Mike Kopack was happy to see the support of so many.
"It's all relative. The people who want to come out will come out whether it's downtown or at the fairgrounds,” said Kopack.
The West Point Drill Team was on hand for the first time in the parade’s history.
Holding the event at the Fairgrounds also allowed for a Veterans Expo inside the Center of Progress building.
