Canandaigua teacher accused of having sexual contact with a student

Canandaigua (13WHAM-TV) - A teacher in Canandaigua is charged with sexual abuse after police say she had sexual contact with a 16-year-old boy.

Canandaigua City Police charged Lisa Footer, 44, of Manchester, with third-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.

Footer is accused of subjecting a 16-year-old boy to sexual contact in the parking lot of a business on South Main Street in Canandaigua on November 10.

Police believe Footer had an ongoing relationship with the teen for the past several months.

Footer is a teacher at the Canandaigua Academy. The teen is a student in the Canandaigua City School District.

Police say at this time there is no evidence to suggest Footer had sexual contact with the boy on school grounds.
