Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police say the man who was driving a car involved in a crash caught on camera in the Eastwood neighborhood on Tuesday morning has an ankle injury, but no one else was hurt.
Police say the 90-year-old man was driving westbound in a 2003 Dodge Stratus when the accident occurred.
Surveillance video captured from a camera located at Cell Phones for Less store reveals the Dodge Stratus moving quickly on James Street before striking an unoccupied white Kia at the side of the road and then an eastbound black SUV.
Witnesses told NewsChannel 9 that the white minivan was pushed approximately 100 feet from the initial collision.
Employees from Cell Phones for Less said they rescued the man from his vehicle.
Hazmat personnel were called to the scene because of fluid spilling onto the road.
All three vehicles were towed. James Street between Midler Avenue and Rigi Street was closed for about 90 minutes.
Police are still investigating the incident.
