Car runs tractor trailer off I-81 Friday afternoon, driver cited for DWI
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The New York State Police in Pulaski investigated a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Interstate 81 northbound in the Town of Richland at approximately noon Friday.
Brandy Ingersoll, age 24, of Rodman, New York was driving northbound in a vehicle when she lost control striking the median guiderail.
She then drove back over the roadway striking a tractor trailer forcing it off the right shoulder into a group of trees.
Both operators were taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse where they were treated for minor injuries.
The interstate was down to one lane for nearly 4 hours while crews worked to remove the wreckage.
Ingersoll was charged with DWI and other Vehicle Traffic Law Violations.
She is due to appear in the Town of Richland Court on August 26.
