Cayuga County man convicted of raping 3-year-old child

Auburn (WSYR-TV) – A Cayuga County man was convicted of repeatedly raping and sexually abusing a 3-year-old child on Tuesday.

Robert Knapp of Locke was convicted on 11 counts of rape in the first degree, criminal sexual act in the first degree, aggravated sexual abuse in the third degree, sexual abuse in the first degree, and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office, the felonies could all run consecutively and potentially put Knapp in prison for more than 150 years.

Knapp was also accused of sexually preying on two other children, but neither could testify during the trial.
