Oswego (WSYR-TV) – A Central Square man was arrested on Sunday morning on charges that he raped an underage girl on several occasions.
According to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Matthew Roof subjected a girl whose age ranged from 11 to 13 years old to sexual conduct between June 2010 and September 2011 at a home in the town of Hastings.
Roof, of 166 Little Canada Rd., Central Square has been charged with:
-Criminal sex act, first degree, a class B felony
-Rape, second degree, a class D felony
-course of sexual conduct, second degree, a class D felony
-Endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor
Roof was arraigned in Town of Hastings Court and sent to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 26.
