Central Square (WSYR-TV) - Central Square's Winter Guards and Winter Drumlines performed their winning routines at home Tuesday, after they swept their respective competitions this weekend.
Students have been practicing the routines since November, and say their hard work paid off. "It gives me a good work ethic because it gives me a goal and a way to strive toward that goal," said Senior Color Guard member Elizabeth Kiehl.
The Winter Guard units took first place in Saturday's Mid-York Color Guard Circuit Championship, and Varsity and JV Drumline units swept the New York State Percussion Circuit Championships Sunday.
