Ceremony commemorating Pan Am bombing to be held

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse University will hold a commemorative ceremony to mark the 24th anniversary of Lockerbie Bombing today.

The event marks an incident in which Pan Am flight 103 crashed into Lockerbie, Scotland. A terrorist bomb aboard the flight from London to New York City triggered the crash.

35 Syracuse University students, two Oswego State students, and a couple from the town of Clay were among the 270 people killed in the bombing.

The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel.
