Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The government says the number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits fell sharply for a fourth straight week last week – an indication that the job market could be improving.
According to Centerstate CEO, Central New York’s major markets in terms of jobs are healthcare, tourism, and financial services.
There has also been a major demand in engineering and advanced manufacturing jobs.
They say the key to landing a position is job experience.
This past year, hundreds of new jobs were added to the local economy.
