Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Prosecutors have dropped the charges against a handicapped Syracuse man whose tasing by Syracuse Police on a Centro bus was caught on surveillance tape.Brad Hulett was facing charges including resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after he was tased
and removed from the bus by police when he refused to sit down.
Hulett and his attorney, Rick Guy, are suing the City of Syracuse – including the police department – along with Onondaga County and the Centro bus service.
Hulett suffered neurological damage in 1991 after being hit by two trains, causing him to be handicapped.
He says sitting on the bus was painful.
