Charges dropped against man accused of sending ricin-laced letters to the White House
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Federal authorities are looking elsewhere in the case of ricin-laced letters sent to the president and a U.S. congressman last week.
Paul Kevin Curtis, who was arrested in connection with the case, has since been released after charges against him were dropped on Tuesday.
The U.S. Attorney says that “new information” has surfaced in the case, however, no specifics have been revealed.
According to the New York Times, no evidence of the poison was found at Curtis’ home.
Authorities are now searching the home of another Mississippi man in connection with the case.
