Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse Chiefs game that was supposed to begin at 7 p.m. Friday has been postponed due to a power outage at Alliance Bank Stadium.

Hundreds of fans had to wait outside the stadium as officials waited to see if power would come back and the game could be played.

The game was going to be against the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees.

The rescheduled game will be played as a double header with a previously scheduled game on August 12.

The fireworks that were scheduled to follow Friday’s game will now be after the game on July 21.

Tickets for Friday's game will be honored at any future game this season for seats of equal or lesser value.
