Child runs into path of truck in Syracuse

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - An 11 year old boy was hit by a truck while walking along Butternut Street in Syracuse Saturday morning. Police were called by the driver of a 2004 Dodge pick-up truck after the child ran into his path near the Lodi Street intersection at 9:35 a.m. The boy's name is not being released due to his age. Police say he was treated for a head injury at Upstate University Hospital. The child is expected to survive. The driver of the pick-up truck was not ticketed because police say the cause of the accident appears to be pedestrian error.
