Washington, DC (WSYR-TV) – Singer Chris Brown is facing an uncertain future as he sits behind bars for allegedly assaulting a male victim in Washington, D.C. over the weekend.
ABC affiliate WJLA reports Brown will appear in court today on an assault charge after a fight broke out over the weekend near a Washington hotel, which could further snarl the Grammy Award-winning R&B singer's ongoing legal troubles.
Brown is on probation after a brutal domestic violence incident involving his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. According to CNN.com
, Brown was posing with a female fan for a picture around 4:25 a.m. early Sunday morning when a man tried to jump into the photo.
Brown allegedly hurled an anti-gay slur at the man and struck him, according to a police report obtained by CNN.
The cable network news agency said that Brown’s bodyguard also participated in the alleged attack.
The victim was treated and released from a local hospital.
