Cincinnatus (WSYR-TV) -- A Cortland County School District is vying to win as much as $50,000 in a national competition to save music programs in jeopardy.
Hundreds of schools have entered the contest, which challenges students to make a video inspired by the popular TV show “Glee.”
In Cincinnatus, recent budget cuts have considerably scaled back their band program and a shortage of instruments may mean students won’t get to play.
But you can help Cincinnatus win by casting your vote online until November 7.
CLICK HERE to vote. If they get enough votes, they’ll find out if they make the finals next month. It will then be up to the judges to decide who gets the money. Three schools will win $50,000; two will get $25,000; and 12 districts will get $10,000.
