Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A city DPW van was stolen on Wednesday morning after its keys were left inside.

The Syracuse Department of Public Works van was outside of a house on the 4500 block of South Salina Street while a crew boarded up the vacant dwelling.

The van – which has city of Syracuse decals - disappeared around 10:10 a.m. and was found unoccupied approximately one hour later at the intersection of Barrington Drive and Menlo Drive.

Police did not say whether anything was taken from the van. It had a generator and power tools inside when it was taken.
