SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Now that the rain and wind are done making a mess of things, it's time to "Clean up the ‘Cuse."
Storms or no storms, volunteers get together every year to do a little spring cleaning around Syracuse as part of Earth Day.
More than 35 people were out Saturday morning up on Tipperary Hill to do their part.
Organizers came prepared with a plan.
" We broke the neighborhood up into eight zones and we had people sign up for zones and we'll be going around and giving them supplies and we'll be picking up their bags as they fill them,” said Tipp Hill Neighborhood Associate President Janice McKenna.
The plan is to then keep the neighborhood clean.
McKenna says if you see some litter, do not be disgusted by it, pick it up.
