(8:49 PM, Monday 5/4/2009) I'm getting back into the swing of things. Clouds that moved in over us this afternoon are in the process of thinning out. Did you catch the sunset? I caught the tail end of it and took a so-so picture with my phone. This was a perfect setup for a beauty. Clearing skies to our northwest, and clouds from here southeastward. The thinning clouds out there now, portend a continued thinning as we head through early tonight. We could actually see some filtered sun again Tuesday morning.
Boy, we need the rain though. As Jim talked about in his blog, SE NY is abnormally dry. My backyard is sopping wet, but that's a usual springtime occurrance for me. Earlier today, it looked like a slam dunk for rain tomorrow (Tuesday) for us. Now, I'm not so sure. Everything has been trending eastward in terms of rain, and pardon the pun, we may be left high and dry. Even the wetter guidance is heading drier. In the next couple of hours, I'll be working on the high temperature forecast for Tuesday. I may end up raising it a few notches. If we do end up seeing rain tomorrow it looks spotty and mainly in the afternoon. Maybe I'll get the grass cut in the morning.
Wednesday still looks like the pick day of the week with increasing sunshine, and temperatures around 70! Woo hoo!
