SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Thousands of college students graduated across the region on Sunday.
About 600 of those students graduated from Le Moyne College, which held its 62nd Commencement on campus.
A proud grandparent told NewsChannel 9 that she could not wait for the day to arrive.
"It's just something that you look forward to. You know? It's exciting. You know? It's an accomplishment for not only him but his parents, the faculty, everyone,” said Joan Carola.
Students at Upstate Medical University also donned the cap and gown on Sunday.
Each of its colleges held its own commencement ceremony.
About 450 degrees were earned by students at Upstate Medical University this year.
