Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police are investigating an incident in which a man was seen seizing a woman and dragging her into a minivan at a Red Lobster restaurant on Erie Boulevard Tuesday night.

According to police, a witness told them multiple people were around a car in the back of the restaurant’s parking lot when the driver pulled up in the minivan shortly after 8 p.m.

A man stepped out of the van and demanded that a girl get out of the car. When she refused, they say the man dragged her by the arm and threw her into the van.

Several minutes after the minivan left the scene, the people around the car also left.

Police have declined to describe the incident as an abduction. They believe it may have been the result of a domestic incident.

Police want to at least check on the woman.

They say the minivan’s driver is a black male and that the vehicle is two-tone.

Anyone with information on the incident should call police at 442-5222.
