Cops: Oswego man gets felony charges after taking $5K in bets per day

Oswego (WSYR-TV) – An Oswego man is facing felony gambling charges after an investigation into an alleged illegal bookmaking operation.

Police also arrested 44-year-old Thomas Flett of East Seventh Street on marijuana charges.

Police say Flett was taking bets in excess of $5,000 a day.

He was charged with four counts of promoting gambling in the first degree and one count of possession of gambling records in the first degree, both felonies.
