Cornell fraternity fined in 2011 hazing death
Ithaca (WSYR-TV) -- Former Cornell fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon will have to shell out big money as punishment for the hazing death of one of its pledges.
The fraternity was convicted of several charges, including unlawfully dealing with a child and criminal nuisance.
The charges stem from the alcohol-related death of George Desdunes back in the winter of 2011.
The fraternity will have to pay the maximum fine on each charge, totaling $12,000.
