Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Cornell University graduate student walked away with $25,000 after participating on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” on Monday afternoon.
Loren Loiacano, who is studying musical composition at the Ithaca school, left the show after missing out on the correct answer for the $100,000 question.
Loiacano had accumulated $50,100 when she was asked “Though it sounds like a cheap dinner, which of the following is an actual type of fly?”
She answered “C” – “Spaget Eyos” but the correct answer was “A” – “Reissa Roni.”
Loiacono is a 24-year-old native of Setauket on Long Island.
She graduated from Yale University.
Loiacono’s mother joined her in New York as her on-air companion.
