Cortland (WSYR-TV) – A Cortland business owner was arrested on Thursday on child pornography charges.
Cortland Police say they found “well over 100 files” on discs, thumb drives, computers, and a cell phone containing child pornography at Sound City on Main Street.
They charged Sound City owner Robert Adams, 62, of Rosewood Avenue in Cortland with promoting the sexual performance of a child and possessing a sexual performance of a child, both felonies.
Police say they obtained a search warrant after an investigation by the State Police Computer Crime Unit began in June.
Adams was arraigned in Cortland City Court and taken to the Cortland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
He is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 21.
