County probation officer to be arraigned on felony computer charges
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – An Onondaga County probation officer is facing felony charges on Thursday stemming from alleged unauthorized use of a computer.
Juan Cruz was charged with two felony counts of computer trespass and two misdemeanor counts of unauthorized use of a computer.
A release from the Onondaga County Executive’s office did not specify what led to the charges.
They did say Cruz was investigated at the request of both the county executive and the probation commissioner, Andrew Sicherman, who said he discovered “irregularities” in the man’s computer use.
Cruz is suspended without pay.
He has been scheduled for arraignment on Thursday.
