Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A woman whose addiction to crack drove her to commit several burglaries in downtown Syracuse was sentenced on Wednesday.

Daun Dunlap, 45, of East Division Street in Syracuse, will serve two years in Onondaga County Jail. In July, the then 44-year-old woman capped off a series of burglaries by ramming a van into the storefront of Markowitz Florist shop and running into the store to steal an undisclosed amount of money.

She was also accused of burglarizing the YWCA twice.

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A woman who police say was influenced by an addiction to crack cocaine to burglarize a number of locations in Downtown Syracuse pleaded guilty to four counts of felony burglary on Tuesday morning.

Daun Dunlap, 45, was arrested in July shortly after she rammed a van into a downtown flower shop and stole an undisclosed amount of money. She is also accused of burglarizing the downtown YWCA location.

She will be sentenced to two years in jail next month.

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The Syracuse Police have arrested a woman they say was fueling her addiction to crack cocaine when she rammed her van into a downtown flower shop and made off with an undisclosed sum of money.

Police have charged Daun Dunlap, 44, of East Division Street in Syracuse, with attempted burglary, criminal mischief, and petit larceny.

They believe Dunlap is also responsible for several other burglaries on Warren Street in downtown Syracuse.

According to the police, Dunlap broke into the YWCA employer's downtown facility by smashing a window in an alley on July 20 and, two days later, she used a screwdriver to pry open the YWCA's door. On both occasions she stole an undisclosed sum of money.

Markowitz Florists, the shop Dunlap is accused of breaking into, says that she was not an employee but did intermittently visit the store assist the business.

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A downtown Syracuse flower shop was robbed on Friday morning after a van smashed through its front door.

Police say a witness saw a person driving a black van ram the vehicle into the front of Markowitz Florist and then entered through a hole in the wall. The suspect then drove off in the van.

The burglary is the latest in a series of break-ins in the South Warren Street area.
