Crews quickly put out McKinley Avenue fire

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Emergency crews responded to a fire on Syracuse’s South Side early Friday morning. One person was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

Firefighters quickly put out the blaze on McKinley Avenue, which was reported around 2 a.m.

Officials say the fire was contained to the first floor.

Investigators say the fire began in an upholstered chair but they are still trying to determine the fire’s cause.
